Delight in these Valentine’s Puff Pastry Hearts, a charming and delicious dessert featuring flaky puff pastry hearts filled with creamy whipped cream, sweet strawberries, and drizzled with luscious Nutella.

- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 tbsp flour (for dusting)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 4 oz cream cheese (50 g)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (80 g), plus more for dusting
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (250 ml)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8–10 sliced strawberries
- 2 tbsp Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Lightly dust your work surface with flour.
- Fold the puff pastry sheet in half gently.
- Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out heart shapes from the folded puff pastry sheet.
- Prick the tops of each heart with a fork and brush with beaten egg.
- Place the hearts on a baking sheet and bake for 9-10 minutes.
- In a cold mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Pour in the heavy whipping cream and whisk on medium speed until stiff peaks form.
- Once cooled, slice the puff pastry hearts horizontally.
- Pipe or spread the whipped cream mixture onto the bottom halves of each heart.
- Layer sliced strawberries over the cream, then place the top half on top gently.
- Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with warmed Nutella.
