Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole turkey (1215 lbs)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 lbs mixed vegetables (e.g., carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, zucchini)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Prepare the Sage & Butter Roast Turkey: In a small bowl, mix softened butter with chopped sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Loosen the skin over the turkey breast and thighs, and spread the herb butter underneath. Rub the outside of the turkey with remaining butter and season generously. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for 13-15 minutes per pound, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reads 165°F (75°C). Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
  2. Prepare the Easy Thanksgiving Corn Pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together drained corn, creamed corn, milk, eggs, flour, sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45-55 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  3. Prepare the Thanksgiving Butternut Squash Gratin: Toss cubed butternut squash with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder on a baking sheet. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until tender. Transfer the roasted squash to a baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with Gruyere and Parmesan cheeses. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Prepare the Thanksgiving Roasted Veggie Medley: Toss mixed vegetables with olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet. Spread in a single layer. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized, tossing halfway through.
  5. Prepare the Thanksgiving Sweet Potato Mash: Boil cubed sweet potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well. Return sweet potatoes to the pot and mash them with milk, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth and creamy.

Notes

  • For extra juicy turkey, you can brine it overnight before roasting.
  • Adjust spices in the sweet potato mash to your preference.
  • Feel free to add other herbs like parsley or chives to the veggie medley.
  • Ensure all vegetables are cut into uniform sizes for even roasting.
  • The corn pudding can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
