Description

This Slow Cooker Pizza Dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer perfect for game day or parties.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1½ cups freshly shredded mozzarella cheese (for filling)
  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 ounces pepperoni minis, divided
  • 14 ounces jarred pizza sauce
  • 2 cups freshly shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil, optional garnish
  • French bread, bread sticks, naan bread, or fresh veggies for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, use a handheld mixer on medium-high speed to beat the cream cheese for 1 to 1½ minutes until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese, grated parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder to the cream cheese. Mix gently just until combined.
  3. Spray a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Evenly spread the cream cheese and cheese mixture across the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Sprinkle half of the pepperoni minis evenly over the cheese mixture.
  6. Pour and evenly spread the entire jar of pizza sauce over the pepperoni layer.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce layer.
  8. Add the remaining half of the pepperoni minis evenly on top of the cheese layer.
  9. Cover the slow cooker with its lid. Cook on low heat for 3 hours or on high heat for 2 hours until hot and bubbly.
  10. Just before serving, sprinkle fresh chopped basil over the top. Serve warm with bread or veggies for dipping.
