Description
This slow cooker brisket recipe delivers tender, flavorful meat infused with a tangy BBQ sauce and aromatic onions. Perfect for an easy, hands-off meal, the brisket is slow-cooked to juicy perfection, making it an ideal dish for gatherings or comforting weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 lbs. brisket
- ½ cup BBQ rub seasoning
- ¾ cup BBQ sauce
- ½ cup beef stock
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large yellow onion, quartered
- 1 large red onion, quartered
Instructions
- Pat dry the brisket with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Rub the BBQ seasoning all over the brisket thoroughly to ensure it is evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic until fully combined.
- Place the quartered yellow and red onions at the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker. Set the seasoned brisket on top of the onions. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture evenly over the brisket.
- Cover the slow cooker with its lid. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 6 hours, until the brisket is tender and falls apart easily.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the brisket from the slow cooker. Slice or shred the brisket according to your preference. Serve it with the cooked onions and drizzle with the flavorful sauce from the slow cooker.
- Pair the brisket with your favorite sides such as roasted potatoes or carrots, or use the shredded meat in sandwiches.
