Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Bay leaves (Optional)
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Cooking wine (Optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 2 pieces Green onions
  • 1 cup Hot water (Optional)
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: (Optional) Pour boiling water over chicken thighs until the skin starts to shrink.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In the rice cooker, add chicken, sugar, soy sauce, cooking wine, dark soy sauce, and water.
  3. Seal and Cook: Close the rice cooker lid and start cooking without marinating.
  4. Cook for an Hour: Set to cook for 1 hour or use white rice mode.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Once done, plate with steamed vegetables or rice.
  6. Save the Marinade: Reserve the leftover marinade for making marinated eggs.
  7. Marinate Eggs: Add boiled eggs to marinade, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
