Description

Delight in the savory and sweet Prosciutto Wrapped Baked Brie in Pastry, a luxurious appetizer perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 812 ounces Brie cheese
  • 12 tablespoons Honey
  • 12 tablespoons Fig preserves
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme leaves
  • to taste Coarse sugar
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry
  • 48 slices Prosciutto
  • 1 each Egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Lay out the thawed puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet, place the brie in the center and cut a crosshatch pattern on top.
  3. Spread fig preserves over the brie, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with thyme and black pepper.
  4. Wrap the prosciutto around the brie, and fold the pastry corners over the top.
  5. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle coarse sugar on top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with artisanal bread or crisp crackers.
