- 8–12 ounces Brie cheese
- 1–2 tablespoons Honey
- 1–2 tablespoons Fig preserves
- to taste Black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme leaves
- to taste Coarse sugar
- 1 sheet Puff pastry
- 4–8 slices Prosciutto
- 1 each Egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Lay out the thawed puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet, place the brie in the center and cut a crosshatch pattern on top.
- Spread fig preserves over the brie, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with thyme and black pepper.
- Wrap the prosciutto around the brie, and fold the pastry corners over the top.
- Brush the pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle coarse sugar on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with artisanal bread or crisp crackers.
