Description
Chocolate Salami is a classic no-bake dessert that’s easy to make and bursting with rich, fudgy flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, plus more for dusting
- 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers or digestive biscuits
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate mixture, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Mix until well incorporated.
- Fold in the crushed graham crackers (or biscuits) and chopped nuts (if using) until the mixture is well combined and has a dough-like consistency.
- Transfer the mixture onto a large piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
- Wrap the log tightly in the parchment or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Remove the log from the refrigerator and unwrap. Dust the outside generously with cocoa powder, coating it completely.
- Slice the Chocolate Salami into 1/2-inch thick rounds and serve chilled. Enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- For a variation, add dried fruits or different nuts.
