Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ºF and grease and line an 8×8 pan with butter and parchment paper.
- Melt the butter, chocolate, orange juice, and cocoa powder in a heatproof bowl set over boiling water, stirring until smooth.
- Cool the mixture slightly after removing from heat, allowing it to be warm but not hot.
- Mix in the granulated and brown sugars, whisking vigorously, then add the eggs and mix until incorporated.
- Combine the flour, salt, and zest into the bowl, stirring gently until no dry patches remain.
- Top the batter with thinly sliced oranges tossed in sugar.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is crackly and a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool fully at room temperature for 30 minutes, then chill in the fridge for another 30.
