- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large, clean, and dry bowl, beat the egg whites with a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment until they form stiff peaks.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to beat the egg whites until they are glossy and the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Gently fold in the unsweetened cocoa powder until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Using a spoon or a piping bag, drop the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cookies are crisp on the outside and lightly browned.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
