Chicken Paprikash is a classic Hungarian dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, creamy paprika-infused sauce.

- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, until browned on all sides.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened.
- Stir in the paprika and caraway seeds (if using) and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Whisk together the chicken broth, sour cream, and flour. Pour the mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and let the sauce thicken for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Chicken Paprikash over cooked egg noodles, garnished with chopped parsley.
