A comforting and hearty beef stroganoff recipe perfect for cold nights, featuring tender beef in a creamy mushroom sauce served over egg noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  5. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream; mix until well combined.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
