- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz egg noodles
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
- Return the beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream; mix until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
