Description

Enjoy a warm mug of this easy vanilla cinnamon milk tea recipe. It combines black tea with sweet vanilla and spicy cinnamon for a comforting drink perfect for any afternoon.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 teaspoons sweetener (honey, sugar, or maple syrup)
  • Optional: 1 star anise, 2 cardamom pods, 1 clove
  • Optional garnish: cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick and any optional whole spices. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add black tea bags and steep for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Pour in milk and vanilla extract. Add sweetener.
  4. Heat the mixture until steaming, stirring gently. Do not boil.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Remove tea bags and strain out spices if desired.
  7. Pour into mugs, garnish with a cinnamon stick if using, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use oat milk or soy milk.
  • Adjust sweetener to your preference.
