- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out slightly to smooth out any creases.
- In a small bowl, mix together the chopped spinach and crumbled feta cheese.
- Cut the puff pastry sheet in half lengthwise. Place the spinach and feta mixture down the center of each half.
- Fold the puff pastry over the filling, then twist the dough to create a spiral shape. Place the twisted pastries on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and flaky.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
