Description

Ingredients

  • 7 quarts popped popcorn
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 (10-ounce) bag red hot cinnamon candies

Instructions

  1. Place the popped popcorn into a large bowl ensuring it’s spread evenly. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, corn syrup, and the red hot cinnamon candies. Stir occasionally and bring the mixture to a boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the hot cinnamon syrup over the popcorn. Mix thoroughly to coat every kernel evenly.
  4. Grease two baking sheets lightly. Spread the coated popcorn evenly across the sheets. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and stir while cooling to prevent sticking.
  6. Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container and store at room temperature.
