Description

Delicious shrimp dumplings packed with flavor, perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 pieces Dumpling wrappers
  • 0.5 pound Raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 piece Green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 piece Egg white
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped chives
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Chili oil
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions

  1. Chop: Begin by finely chopping the raw shrimp until it reaches a paste-like texture.
  2. Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp with minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, finely chopped green onion, egg white, and cornstarch.
  3. Fill: Take about 1 teaspoon of the shrimp mixture and place it in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  4. Seal: Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold it over to create a pocket, pinching the edges together tightly.
  5. Prepare the Steamer: Line your steamer with parchment paper or cabbage leaves. Arrange the dumplings inside.
  6. Steam: Set the steamer over boiling water and let the dumplings steam for 8–10 minutes.
  7. Make the Dipping Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, minced garlic, and sugar.
  8. Garnish: Once the dumplings are ready, drizzle a bit of chili oil over them and sprinkle chili flakes and chopped chives.
  9. Serve: Enjoy your shrimp dumplings hot alongside the dipping sauce.
