Ingredients
Scale
- 20 pieces Dumpling wrappers
- 0.5 pound Raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 clove Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
- 1 piece Green onion (finely chopped)
- 1 piece Egg white
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon Chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon Chopped chives
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Chili oil
- 1 clove Garlic (minced)
- 0.5 teaspoon Sugar
Instructions
- Chop: Begin by finely chopping the raw shrimp until it reaches a paste-like texture.
- Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp with minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, finely chopped green onion, egg white, and cornstarch.
- Fill: Take about 1 teaspoon of the shrimp mixture and place it in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
- Seal: Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold it over to create a pocket, pinching the edges together tightly.
- Prepare the Steamer: Line your steamer with parchment paper or cabbage leaves. Arrange the dumplings inside.
- Steam: Set the steamer over boiling water and let the dumplings steam for 8–10 minutes.
- Make the Dipping Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, minced garlic, and sugar.
- Garnish: Once the dumplings are ready, drizzle a bit of chili oil over them and sprinkle chili flakes and chopped chives.
- Serve: Enjoy your shrimp dumplings hot alongside the dipping sauce.
