Ingredients

  • lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 45 Russet potatoes (Thinly sliced)
  • 1 Large onion (Diced)
  • 2 cup Cheddar cheese (Shredded)
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup (Substitute with cream of chicken if desired)
  • Salt and black pepper (To taste)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Slice potatoes thin and dice onion.
  3. Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the potatoes, then onions, then seasoned ground beef. Repeat the layers if necessary.
  5. Spread cream of mushroom soup evenly over the top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
