- 1½ lb Ground beef (80/20)
- 4–5 Russet potatoes (Thinly sliced)
- 1 Large onion (Diced)
- 2 cup Cheddar cheese (Shredded)
- 1 can Cream of mushroom soup (Substitute with cream of chicken if desired)
- Salt and black pepper (To taste)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Paprika (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Slice potatoes thin and dice onion.
- Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the potatoes, then onions, then seasoned ground beef. Repeat the layers if necessary.
- Spread cream of mushroom soup evenly over the top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
