Ingredients

  • 1 pound Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 8 ounces Linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon Salt (for boiling the pasta)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil (to prevent sticking)

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in a large pot of generously salted water over high heat. Cook for 8–10 minutes until al dente, tender yet firm to the bite. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat until fully foaming, about 1 minute.
  3. Sauté minced garlic in the melted butter for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and black pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook undisturbed for 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Deglaze by adding lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and reserved pasta water. Stir for 2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture, tossing over low heat for 1 minute.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a final squeeze of lemon before serving.
