Description

This Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake is the ultimate comfort food, combining tender sirloin steak, flavorful potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese. It’s easy to prepare, making it perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice the potatoes. Cube the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Finely dice the onion.
  2. In your crockpot, layer half of the diced potatoes at the bottom. Add half of the cubed steak on top of the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the diced onion. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika according to taste.
  3. Repeat layering with remaining potatoes, steak, and onions.
  4. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce evenly over all layers.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until everything is tender.
  6. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.

Notes

  • For best results, use starchy potatoes like Russet or Yukon Gold.
  • Sear the steak pieces in a hot pan before adding to the crockpot for enhanced flavor.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your specific slow cooker.
  • Allow the bake to rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • Freeze portions in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months.
