Description
Irresistible Chocolate Orange Cheesecake for Any Celebration
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 oz cream cheese (full-fat; essential for a creamy texture and rich flavor)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (sweetens the filling and balances the orange’s acidity)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (contributes to a light, airy texture)
- 8 oz dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa; provides deep richness and flavor)
- 2 large oranges (zest and juice; adds freshness)
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (forms a crunchy base; substitute gluten-free if needed)
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter (melted; binds the crust ingredients)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) to create the perfect baking environment.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted unsalted butter in a bowl. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for about 10 minutes until golden. Let it cool completely.
- Beat full-fat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar. Stir in the zest and juice from large oranges.
- Melt dark chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture, along with whipped heavy cream.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Just before serving, drizzle with melted chocolate and garnish with fresh orange slices.
